Software modeling for the living world — genomics, development, ecology.

Welcome to nascnt! Our first commercial release is Ocean, a multi-tenant genomics platform. Ocean supports Ocean Clinic, a longitudinal reanalysis service for clinical genetics programs, and Ocean Research, a federated research portal for rare variant analysis.

Coming soon OR1, a diagnostic tool for all stages of fetal development from embryo to birth. Cardiac flight path module planned for release in 2027.

Services run by default on AWS cloud, but can be re-deployed on-prem for clinics with data-residency constraints. Tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer with row-level security, identity flows through Auth0 organizations, and every clinical decision is written to an append-only audit log by default. Reference data — ClinVar, ClinGen, gnomAD, HPO — is ingested and versioned, so a reanalysis run is reproducible months later against the exact dataset that produced it.

How we operate
  • Audit-by-default, not after-the-fact. Every clinical decision — amend, acknowledge, defer, dismiss — is reasoned, attributed, and append-only. Compliance is a property of the data model.
  • Reproducible reanalysis. Reference data is versioned per-clinic. Re-running a case against last quarter’s ClinVar is a deliberate, supported operation.
  • Deploy where the data has to live. AWS for clinics that want managed; on-prem for clinics that don’t. Same code, same audit posture.
Small, patient, and aimed at the intersection of machine and biological insight.

A small number of pilot partnerships are open starting 2026 with clinical labs, fetal-medicine programs, and genetics counseling practices. Advisory conversations welcome on the same terms — particularly with clinicians and security reviewers willing to push back on design choices early.
